2013年12月18日，国际SCI重要期刊《World Journal of Gastroenterology》发来通知，聘任我院学科带头人、普外科主任张宗明教授为该杂志新一届编委，任期四年（2014-1-1 至2017-12-31）。该期刊2013年的影响因子（IF）为2.471（五年影响因子为2.393），是肝胆、胃肠病学领域的重要国际期刊之一。担任国际期刊编委，将进一步推动我院的学科建设，提高我院的学术影响力，拓展我院与国际国内学术界的交流与合作。

World Journal of Gastroenterology (WJG, print ISSN 1007-9327, online ISSN 2219-2840, DOI: 10.3748) is a peer-reviewed open access (OA) medical journal. WJG was established on October 1, 1995. It is published weekly on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th each month.
